I now have to select 7 blogs which I feel should be nominated. This is easy because I have been keeping careful tabs of those blogs which demonstrate the sketching/paintings style and skill which I want to attain. Most of the following blogs are already on my "mentor" list:

Thanks for the award Mike! Funny thing--I was just admiring your work! You have some great perspectives (boat) and I love the looseness of the monochromatic street scenes. I am truly honored!
Mike, thank you so much for this award. Like Mia, I am truly honored. I am still recovering from the rainy, foggy Penobscot Bay cruise and haven't gotten my sketch book out since, except a ballpoint pen sketch of a hair brush at the hairdressers—embarrassingly awful. Well, I'm home and it's back to dog portraits.
Love the Tractorsaurus Hex.
Thanks again.
I feel plucked out of the blue and plunked down amongst some pretty heavy duty, dedicated talent. I am truly appreciative of being included in such august company, and that includes the award giver himself.
The last visit I made to your blog, I thought to myself that our styles and 'creative pursuit' journeys are very similar. I really like how you characterized yours: "Catching up from my first 60 years in which I didn't know I could draw or paint!"
I am also "catching up" in that I always thought of myself as a creative person but never applied it to drawing. (I imagine you also had other avenues through which you exercised your creativity.) I have Danny Gregory's book to thank for cajoling me in the sketching direction.
Anyway, thanks for the acknowledgment. I truly appreciate it.
I just chanced upon your "other" website: http://www.creativedialog.com/.
I obviously got it right when I said you probably had other avenues of creativity...I just didn't realize how right I was!
