Oh! I just figured out one thing about your art that I really like... you usually have a "cropped" effect. Like a snippet of a scene. I looked back at other paintings of yours, and sure enough it is a fairly consistent trait. I've not mastered that yet, and I love how you make it look natural. Kudos!
You are correct and it is called "division of space". If possible I try to cross all four planes (edges) of the frame with my subject so that it fills the space. Thanks.
