In June I was the featured artist at the Galley. The show title was "Benton County Landmarks is Watercolor and Oil." This is a view of the paintings, minus the painting of the Benton County Courthouse which was sold.
Yesterday we went to Larwood Bridge for a paint-out. I ended up making a somewhat wonky drawing of the bridge in ink. It is 7X10 on Arches CP Paper. We had about 25 people attending and it was a great day. The Bridge is about 15 miles east of Albany, OR.
After our recent paint-out in Albany I decided to try a drawing of the Flinn Block which is the heart of Old Town.
So far it is in graphite, however I plan to ink it and possibly create a watercolor version.
This week Vistas & Vineyards painted in Albany's Old Town. While most of the group was painting in the park by the river, a few of us were more interested in the local buildings. This started as an ink sketch using a rapidograph pen, it soon turned into a watercolor. At 1 pm when we all met for a critique this painting was in its "ugly" phase however I was later able to rescue it, at least somewhat. Anyway it was fun to do. It is 7X10 on Arches cold press paper.

While in Astoria for the WSO convention a few weeks ago we ran into a number of old cars that were taking part in celebrating the anniversary of an old theater. I saw this fellow sitting in this car and asked to take a picture. This is based on that picture. It looked like a "get away" car from an old movie. Maybe it was since it turned out he was not the owner of the car.
